Not a funny idea at all, I don't drink (anymore ) and have been thinking the same thing. I really like the almost all white 2013. I just painted my muffler shield black and I think a white fender would look great, just doubt it's worth the expense simply for looks. Have you priced one out by chance?

Well, I just looked at a couple sources and so far haven't even seen a 2013 fender yet ... wonder how crappy it would look to paint it myself? My plastic muffler heat shield came out looking pretty nice, but flat black - a glossy white fender would probably look horrible with a spray paint job, no?
I painted my front fender Spencer Blue and have really liked how it looks on the tricolor, but yes, I have wondered about the white look. I actually painted a spare fender Gloss White, just got regular Rustoleum I think it was, the fender itself looks terrific, I haven't mounted it yet.
Just got a spare honda fender, took an SOS pad to it to scour off the gloss and get rid of surface oil, rinsed the daylights out of it, fully dried it, and then put a few coats of gloss white on it.
The stock fender was a total pain in the saddle to take off for the new blue fender, so I'm not in a big hurry to repeat the process with a white fender. But if I get extra ambitious some weekend and put it on, I'll post pics.
The project this weekend will be to mount the new DoubleBubble windscreen

How does the color match with the rest of the white on the bike? I would love to see a pic of it when you get it done.
The paint on the 2012 Tri-Color is called Ross White, whereas the 2013 is being marketed as a pearl white color. I wouldn't necessarily assume that the fender from a '13 model will be a close color match to the Ross White, especially in bright sunlight were pearl paints really stand out. As IslandBike suggests, it's not too hard to repaint a stock red fender (they're inexpensive as a spare part) with a rattle can of White Rustoleum, or you can get a spray can of Ross White here: Motorcycle Paint - ColorRite
Thanks for the ColorRite link Mike, but it's a tad pricey for me. Every time now I go out in the garage and see my bike, I am thinking I would definitely like white better. Especially since I painted the heat shield flat back - would give a black on white scheme with the blue tank and red decaling of course. Hmmm, long weekend, think I'll be heading to ACE
Though, IslandBike has me wondering now what is so difficult in pulling the fender?
