Hey there.

I am currently riding an '07 V-star 650 custom. My girlfriend is getting her motorcycle license, so I am gonna put a bike in the garage that we can share and won't be too much for her.

I am meeting a guy tommorow who has a 2011 Honda CBR250. I'm pretty excited to check it out and hopefully the trade will go well. It's been dropped once, from a stationary position, but I think it'll be alright.

Any advice for a new 250 owner?

I have a couple questions.
1) what gas do you put in your 250's (if you have a stock one)?
2) how many miles do you get before you need a fill up?

The bike takes regular fuel. Gassing every 100-150 miles should work for you; the tank holds a bit over 3 gallons (3.4) but the fuel cools the fuel pump.

Enjoy the bike. It won't accelerate like a 650, but the handling should be much better than your cruiser.

(yes, I am biased in favor of UJMs ;-)
