Smile New Rider & CBR250r owner

Hello everyone!

I am Glitch, and im a new rider and have owned a Cbr250r for 2w, 2h, and 37m Ive put 600 miles on it so far, and im completely, madly, wrongly in love with it.

Ive been reading the "Which oil is gods favorite" threads and have decided to go with semi-synthetic 10w30. not sure which brand yet.
I do want to know if i need to change the break in oil ASAP, or if it can go a little longer as i am short on funds till mid next week. any insight on that would be fantastic.

Well i hope to talk to everyone and i hope to learn alot here! (or atleast not make a fool of myself )

Safe riding all!

G└í┬¢H☺

Get the first service as soon as possible. If funds aren't there yet, cut back on putting miles on it. Should be done at 600 miles. I think I went to 700, so a little over is ok.

But but but... ive put 200 miles on it in 24 hours lmao... i plan on taking it easy, but i sure dont have the money for a first service fee of 823059823570$$$ those guys are insane when it comes to that. i thought all i had to do was change the oil and go. buuut i have to get it inspected by the dealer apparently. and i have learned that my dealer is sorta shady so id prolly get charged while it sits in the back and they play cards on it or something... ugh.
nice to meet you by the way haha

Welcome, cool OP.

the 250 is easy to love, and it just keeps getting better.

Welcome! Enjoy the new bike! The 600 mile check, while perhaps not worth the money, is definitely something that should be done. I think you'd be better off extending your service interval after this first check, if you are trying to save money. That's just my opinion, though.
