Post new guy from northern california

Hey guys

New guy from Cali...

A little background on myself... I'm 23, recent college graduate from UC Davis and have been riding on the street for 4+ years. I've owned seven motorcycles beginning first with a 1989 Honda Hawk GT NT650. I then moved on to a R6, DRZ400sm, CBR1000rr, CBR600rr, FZ1, and now a CBR250r. Now I know what you're thinking; you went backwards! How could you possibly own a 1000rr and now have a 250?! And that's a very accurate observation. But I didn't go back because the power scared me or because I couldn't handle it. In fact I was one of the faster guys in my group of friends who rode (whatever that means). Instead, I went to the 250 as a means of transportation for my long commute ~100 miles round trip daily. I ride every day, rain or shine.

Anyways, I still have the 600rr which I ride on the weekends and the 250 to get me to and from work all week. The 250 is less than two weeks old with about 600 miles on her.

Oh and BTW, I'm a member on 600rr.net with the same username.

Here are the current toys: Layla and Lindsay (weird fascination with female names beginning in 'L')

Welcome to the forum. I haven't ridden anything else, but the 250's a lot of fun.

It will take a few weeks to adjust to it's power (lack of that is) but once you get in the habit of flogging her everywhere I think you'll find it a hoot to ride.
A totally different sort of fun compared to your former bikes & current 600 but fun none the less.

Welcome to the board.

yeah, esp in your situation the power will take some time to get used to...but the weight is amazing. I can maneuver and hit back to back turns with such ease, its awesome! Welcome!
