Default Hello from Tucson, Arizona

Hello everyone,
My name is Norman. I just traded in my 2006 Kawasaki Nomad on a 2012, red and silver, Honda CBR250R. I make the move for gas milage and was a little worried moving down from a 1600cc bike to a 250cc would be a drag. but after riding the CBR for a couple of days, I wish I had made the move a long time ago. This thing is an absolute blast to ride. My first questions for the group here is; Does anyone have any tips or tricks to share about being a tall person on such a little bike. I am 6'2", and although the bike is not uncomfortable, it is just a little cramped. I'll do a search on it, but thought I'd throw it out there while I'm here.
Norman

Welcome. I'm 6'1" and I really don't feel particularly cramped on the bike. I do move my butt toward the back of the bike now and then to get a little change of position, but I haven't felt the need to pad the seat or any of the other things you may read about.

There is actually a good bit of room for a little bike. Keep moving and changing your position in lots of ways, sit all over the seat from front to back, sit up straight and lay down on the tank, move your feet all around the pegs, change your wrists by lifting them a little, so they are higher than your hands. Stand up, crouch, grip the tank tightly, be supple and fluid like your motorcycle.

You can put on lower pegs or a taller wind screen.

Welcome aboard Matey. I'm 6'1" and I find this bike fine for my size.

Sounds like I just need to get use to not being on a big cruiser.
