I just took it out around the neighborhood, at first. This is my first bike, so I am taking it slow. The MSF course here in Birmingham had Suzuki TU250Xs. I think they may have a bit more torque at the low end, but the Honda feels lighter. The next day, I hit a few of the nearby neighborhoods, then drove down to the gas station to fill up. (the bill was just under $6.00)

Now that the harsh Alabama winter has kicked in, it has been raining and it gets dark before I leave work. So, I will have to put off the next ride until the weekend. (boo) Luckily, putting the bike up for the season means waiting a few days until it warms back up.

Empty parking lots make a great practice venue. School parking lots are usually empty on weekends...go figure.

The funny thing is, there were several perfectly "abandoned" parking lots nearby until recently. The problem is that they were all plowed under.... to build a school. Now, they lock the school parking lot when they are closed. I need to find an alternative, but it seems that all the ones I know of lie on the other side of busy intersections.
