Wouldn't be surprised to see it written off.

Your bike took as much impact as the mangled front fender of that car. That's a lot of force, even if you can't see major damage.

I was speaking with the owner of the shop /repairs
And said would it need a rear wheel balance and or alignment and he said no I thought with that sort of impact that hitting from the rear that's the first thing I would say 100% it would need.
What's do u guys think?

i got the quote back today the total came to $3250 in damage and thats not including the helmet and boots that were damaged and the towing and quote fees
the owner said that because its 3rd party damae your bike wont be a write-off.
which is what im hoping.
the only thing left is to get the assessor to approve the quote and then ill ask for a cash settlement and start repairing the bike myself

In Australia, if anyone hits you from behind, they are at fault, regardless of any pretense. So, they should be paying for all damages. Have you been in contact with them? Or their insurance company? If so, have they agreed to pay for the damage (including gear)?

will the accessor cut the quote from $3200 to about $2500 esitmate...
he put paint tank instead of replace, took acouple of hours off labour and i think another item was removed

would have loved it up at the $3200 mark (but after being a painter and putting up with these guys (accessor) for years i knew this was going to be the result
