Since I bought this tail bag back in June, I've had numerous occasions to use the rain cover over the past month. It works well, keeping the bag and everything inside of it dry.

Would this bag fit a helmet and are the zippers big enough to padlock?

The zippers won't padlock, they are made with rubber pulls. As for the helmet fitting inside... it might be tight, even with the bag expanded. I use mine to carry rain gear, H2O, and various other small items.

I got this same bag last week, I love it so far. It's small enough to not look silly but big enough to hold everything I need it to.

I got this bag and the matching tank bag. They look great together, and the tail bag really is easy to install and looks custom. I followed your instructions using a carabiner, and the bag fits perfectly! I cut off the extra strap length so it wasn't so bulky in the rear seat storage area. Very easy to install and remove. Thanks for info and photos!!!

CBR250r red and silver

Modifications I am interested in:
Muffler- like the sound don't like the looks

Tire reflective tape- all about visibility
Frame sliders- not for sliding (not sure what that is but it sounds really scary )...in case I drop the bike

Already got:
Ogio Tail Bag PERFECT FIT!
Ogio Super Mini Tank Bag

on mounting, with tailbag, but also for me parking flush against
a wall [deliberately] left side to wall only,, this is easy for me
due to traditional karate training, ie, resetting joint range of movement..
to reset jrom its only necessary to take the joint [hip, knee] to the range
desired [in this case so that inside knee is level with seat height]
a certain number of times [brain registers repetitions] plus hold it there
for a certain time [brain registers time in position] plus, tensing all
muscles involved for about 10 - 20 secs at desired range..

typical mounting is usually with leg partly straightened at knee,
tankbag foils this [according to jrom] thus you need to get knee
used to flexing enough to bring heel closer to bottom..
do this by gently taking it there [supported on bench etc]
and by bringing heel up into your palm of hand held at bottom..
making a 'slap' contact [brain knows where hand is] repeatedly..

for me and anyone else parking flush to walls tho, you need to approach
it from the side but walking towards, the bike, thus lifting knee up further
along with foot, taking them over the seat, then down staying close to bike
[no choice the walls there].. again, this responds to resetting the joints for
that movement.. for the young or active this should not be easy..

to practice and reset joints, try holding palms out at about navel height,
swing knee up and into the palms, making a 'slapping' sound on contact..
[this is also training for an upward knee smash in self defense where hands
are directing attackers head down into, knee rising upwards into head]
also helps to lift knee upwards cradling it between arms/hands,
[resting against a wall or something at first] and holding for a minute..
no beg effort required, just the holding in position, and repetition..
due to karate training, yoga and, a lifetime of mounting
motorcycles, this is a natural and easy movement..
as it should be for anyone without specific disabilities...
look at it as just another aspect of motorcyling
technique, to master...

regularly riding motorcycles changes your body,
this is just another part of that reality..

It looks like I might be looking into another tail bag as well. Good pic's on how to install it.
