Thanks for this excellent post, Jme250RA! I got the exact same front stand for Christmas and ran into this exact same problem on my ABS model right off the bat. Now I'm armed with your ready-made solution.

Do you happen to know the O.D. of your 15mm 1/2" drive socket?

the narrow part of the socket is 20.85 mm and the wider part is 22 mm.

Thanks Jme250RA - Next week I'm going to take my 13mm pin to Harbor Freight (to make sure it fits the 1/2 inch drive hole) and get a cheapie 15mm socket in those sizes! I'll report back with the outcome - thanks again for sharing your solution!
