Default Exhausts

Are there any aftermarket slip-ons that don't sound ridiculous? I've been watching videos and every single pipe has the same deep, growling extremely loud sound. I really want to take that eye-sore called the stock exhaust off my bike, but at the same time I want it to sound like a street bike, not like a Harley.

I like my arrow exhaust. Does give it a deeper sound, but not much louder.

Only Harley's sound like Harley's.

Akrapovic slip-on. Leave the baffle in. Sounds great . Not too loud.

Thanks for the info. I've been thinking of getting the Akrapovic, but wanted to hear someone say they liked it. They are the best IMO, but sound clips only do so much.

I've got an Arrow I like very much. Well made. Quiet with the insert. Loud without it. I'd buy it again.

If by "sound like a street bike" you mean like an inline multi cylinder bike such as a 600RR... it's not going to happen no matter which aftermarket slip on you get. It is what it is... a single cylinder engine.

Do the arrow or akrapovic require any mapping or is it a direct swap?

all aftermarket pipes on this bike sound like a fart, the more you twist the throttle the more farty they sound. In terms of street sound, the stock exhaust gives the best street sound out of all the pipes, and like MotoMike said none of them will sound like any 4-cylinder sport bike or v-twin etc. they will all sound like a harley/fart

this is coming from a yoshimura carbon fibre exhaust owner

The arrow doesn't. The computer does adjust to it. At first it was wanting to shut off during blipping but has stopped. The stock pipe did the same thing when I first got it.

So it seems that the stock fuel map used doesn't like any pipe, and has to adjust. even to the stock pipe.
