Well it's that time of year where the bike go's in storage in my case my basement. Well it's time to start modding this beotch internally. Now I DO NOT want to hear any B.S about why would you mod a 250 yada yada. A: This is my bike I can do whatever I want. B: it's my money I can spend it as I want, C: I do this stuff for a living so it's pretty much free. Anyways I have 2 goals here. 1 to make enough power to where I can change gearing so the bike is not screaming down the highway and not a slug in town. And 2 have enough compression to justify running Premium fuel as we have no ethenol in Premium up here in Northern WI. What am I going to do? I already had it dyno tuned last year so I have a base line. Going to deck the head to bump up compression, Run the head on a flow bench followed by some porting, advance the cam timing to compensate for the decked head, and also adding a different fuel controller where I can adjust ignition timing. And of course get it tuned and hopefully see some decent results. Here's the first pic of tonites start. I will be adding pics as I get time to work on my own bike. Any input is welcome.
Cleaned up the valves
And honed the cylinder. Look at that nice cross hatch
Allright guys, Had some time today to get it torn down as far as I need it to be. Now I need to pull the valves, clean everything up, Deck the head and press the cams out of the gears and change the cam timing. Also need to do the porting. Here's a few pics.
Lmao, i send a business card, dyno sheet and a few stickers along. And yeah you can ship your engine to the shop any time. And yes the s1000rr is bad a$$
