^This Alien will be campaigned soon with its first shakedown on December 30th,
its in full race trim, lotsa fruit and the forks done so fingers crossed i'll adapt, The Pirelli Corsas will feel foreign but its got a new set so worth a try.
Sadly the Nugget is being returned to 99% original and going to a new owner,
Keeping all my parts in case green doesnt suit my complexion.
But dont rejoice too much folks
I'll stay and Troll you lot

I have the ABS version but you (Aufitt) had already proven out the 30 mm x 30 mm plates so I thought I would see if I could get the 45mm x 45mm plates to work. I finally finished the left plate.
I copied the way the bolts were inset on the rearsets and I think it came out well. I also radiused the edges.
I got the right side plate far enough along that I could test fit it. There are still a few things I need to work out to get it to work well but it does fit.
the brake line seems a little tight. I have to check that it isn't crimping and make sure that there are no stress points. I think I'll make an offset plate for the brake reservoir so I don't need to cut the tube down. there is also a small plastic cover plate on the ABS box that needs some trimming.

You will be missed by many on this forum, Mr. Aufitt Sir, including me. How come you went for a 250, I thought you was going to buy a 300 Ninja?

We are trying to get a state 250 class running, same as 2012 National series here, so cbr250's restricted Ninja 250's, and Whoflungdung's eligible.
Instead of spending $1500+ on my bike.
-Sell straight licenced unmarked ABS Nugget while its still a virgin.
-Ride 2011 Ninja racebike (built from stat writeoff with only 1300km on it) its restricted (Washer in intake to make the cbr's competitive), forks done, race fairings, rearsets, slipon, Bars, etc etc etc and only done one race of the Nationals since being built and comes with a fresh set of Pirelli's.
$1500 back in my pocket and I can crash this one to my hearts content

Good luck on getting your 250 race series up and running, if I do watch any motorcycle racing, I always prefer to watch the smaller cc bikes in action. You've definitely saved yourself quite a bit of cash buying a bike that's race prepped already. Good luck with your racing, and don't forget to keep us all updated.
