SYN. is good oil, but the problem I have found with it you have a wet clutch until the oil warms up. So I've gone back conv. oil & haven't had any more trouble. Haven't tried it in the CBR yet so I can't say anything on that. On my other bikes it did Shadow 1100, Gsx 450 & CRF150. So I just stick with conv. & as long as I change my oil regular intervals I don't have any problems. So on that note it's up to you or maybe some of these other guys will let ya know on the syn. for the CBR.
Got Conventional in it right now (still in the break in period - well, just a little after actually). I'm switching to semi-synthetic afterwards and perhaps full synthetic after that.
he is saying the CBR250 has a wet clutch and uses engine oil to lube it. If you use the wrong type of Synthetic oil it can be bad (car oil and/or oil that has friction modifiers)
if one is going to change oil more frequently (for me its approx every 4000km) regular oil is just fine.
50/50 synthetic and dino juice right now. Might go full synthetic next time I change it but it doesn't really matter as long as you use a proper SAE rated oil.
Can anyone read I said it gave a wet clutch on my other bikes haven't tried it on the CBR Hello!!!! and yes I used the proper weight been riding bike for 30 years now. Have a nice day
