Never tested it, but probably not.

all are x-race off Ebay. Dirt cheap, and acceptable quality for the price. I'm not crazy about the design of ANY frame sliders I've seen for the CBR- they all look like they'd bend the frame in anything beyond a very easy tipover. Probably smarter to sacrifice the (dirt cheap) stock bodywork.

Nothing short of a Givi type hard bag will be close to waterproof. Even the beefiest "soft" bags come with rain covers. If this wasn't mainly a racebike for me (and occasional street ride) I'd go with some Givi E21's with custom side racks (unless someone started making them). A can of Camp Dry or Scotch Gard can make soft luggage more water resistant.

Yeah, looking at prices for body panels and turn signals, it looks like I might be better off just stocking up.

+1 on this - that looks awesome with the vent and the hard rear cover. Or were you talking about the rear panel in the denim?

(talking about whether or not the tail bag is water proof)

I was looking at it again this morning because my back hurts a bit, and the
amazon page amazon page
says it's waterproof... looks like i'll give it a try. And there's a small discount and free shipping.
