Default Need help please

I have a cbr250r 2012. I did the first oil change on it and the bike shut down on me while getting on the freeway. I took it to the dealer and they said that I had placed the oil fillter on backwards.Has anyone come across this issue before, and does anyone know the potential risks associated with a backwards filter?

Unhappy Not Good

Sadly, the fact that you are in Ca, and he is in Thailand is immaterial. What is true, is that damage has been done, and unlike the case in Thailand, the dealer is not a fault, your at fault in this case. The damage is the same though.

I don't think you have any recourse to the dealer or to Honda. You might want to drain the oil and see how much, what type, etc of metal is in the bottom of the crankcase. Better yet, have a qualified mechanic do it and advise you.

What did the dealership you took it to say beyond what the cause was?

Sorry
