Angry After alarm install bike no longer starts

Be ready its a long read!!!

Took my 250 to get HID projector & alarm installed. I dropped my bike off and headed to DHL to pick up my CORBIN seats & DFC that was shipped from USA. By the time I got back they where just about done with my bike, while it was still apart I had them install the DFC fuel controller, watched the guy he followed the instructions to the "T". They got the bike back together and went to start the bike. NO GO..... Okay that doesnt seem right, so they tried again, would turn over but not start. Try and try again still wont start.

Had them take off the DFC, still not starting, so the alarm came off next. AWW CRAP nothing, now I getting pissed off as the installer is acting like an idiot about it saying its the DFC. The DFC only hooks into a few area's the injector & o2 sensor. I reminded him that he had already removed it and the alarm.... Can you say DUHHHH!

After 10 hours of trouble shooting and checking every wire on the bike still no idea why it will not start. I told them to take it to the Honda dealership and have them fix it, now its a few days later and Honda mechanic says its either the coil or ECU, how the hell do you burn up an ignition coil or ECU installing an alarm and or DFC?

Now that I have explained pretty much everything anybody know where to get an ignition coil or ECU? Anybody parting out a bike? Anybody have an idea of what could be wrong with the bike? Have checked and replaced all fuses, traced out all the wires and cant figure it out.

We already did there is no spark, thinking it might be the coil or ECU. Which neither are in the country. Hoping its just something that has been over looked. Thanks for the suggestion though. Just cant figure out which one screwed it up, he either cut a wire which we cant find or the DFC <---- Dont see how that would mess it up though.

If the wiring is all good he could of cooked the coil leaving the ignition on for extended time or shorted the ecu. Not good mate

Ray t i guarantee you the dfc is not to blame . I ran my bike for 5000 miles with out an issue with it. Sounds to be like you said a burned up coil or a bad ground. I would be pissed if i were you.

Trust me Mike I am super pissed off. Not blaming the DFC at all, I am thinking he turned the ignition on to test something while he was hooking up the alarm, then cut a wire or something shorted it out. Just doesnt make since bro.

Tell him to do a resistance test on the coil

Default After alarm install bike no longer starts

I'd be pissed, too, but to bring just a bit of levity to the situation... the alarm's brochure did say it was "the most effective anti-theft device you can buy for your bike..."

On the plus side, you've made the bike harder to steal.
