Hi! After having a minor fall due to the icy weather (had no idea it was so slippery!) my bike didn't want to start. About an hour later it did with no problems whatsoever but sadly, the day after it's the same situation - all lights turn on, starter motor turns over but it just doesn't take.
The damage is really minor- just a few scratches thanks to the crash pads which I had installed, which makes me think that maybe it's the crash pads that damaged something? The bike fell on the right side and the right crash pad is now loose, after taking all the impact.
Any ideas/comments/suggestions will be much appreciated!
Many of you live in the most inhospitable places on the planet, makes me cold just reading about it.
Today might be my last ride on the CBR for 2012... big winter storm moving into my neck of the woods tomorrow. The XR400R gets ice screws installed this week...
You guys are very lucky to live in a temperate climate. It's just getting to the stage where I use the Motorways instead of side roads, because they're gritted better, and they're straighter, so less chance of slipping on ice on a corner. I'll be using the car soon, when it gets colder.
