For anyone that says they need to change them (for road use ) you must be pushing them to crazy limits or they are worn really badly, or running them at too high a pressure. 29F 30 R maximum if you are going hard.

Default tire replacement

Hi all - i have just under 10,000 km on my bike. the stock tires seem to be lasting well, but I too am looking into what to replace them with. Seems many of you are happy with Pirelli sport demons. I had also looked at the rosso 2's, but do you guys think that tire is over-kill on our bike? I'm not looking at any track days (just yet anyway). The pricing in canada is almost the same for the two tires. do you guys think the rosso's will wear out sooner than the demons?

Default Its been 4 months and 8000 miles

Well as the title says I have put 8k on my Michelin pilot activs. Most of my riding is at 75+mph. I am still very happy with them and they are just beginning to show signs of wear in the rear. I will still try the sport demons although for the life and price of the activs i don't think the price will be worth it for me. If anyone has tried both please let me know what you think.

My User's Manual calls for bias-ply tires. Are there issues with replacing them with radial-ply tires?

Not seeing how that link addresses my question. I've seen new CBR250R bikes with radial tires. Mine came with bias-ply tires. Are the wheels the same, implying either type tire can be used? And why does the manual call for bias-ply and yet some machines come with radials?

I replaced my back tire today at 7300 miles for $53 labor at the stealership...my new Duro back tire cost me about half of what the stock IRC would have cost...

I cant tell one one bit of difference in handling so far from the stock and I have leaned it over pretty good so far today...so for half the price I almost paid I am very pleased because the stock was pretty impressive in my book for cornering and rain.

no clue..honda website says radial tires are on the cbr250r..mine were bias ply from factory..as is most everyone else..but not all........I guess as far as I know you can use either one then..seems most motorcycle tires are bias ply anyway..including my new one
