CBR250R Tire Change
I bought my 250r back in September and and after 10,000 miles I am ready to replace my IRC tires. The rear is pretty square and almost out of tread. The front still looks like its in good shape but is starting to get tiny heat cracks where the tread meets the tire and with summer coming i decided to try something new. I did some research and found only a few companies produce tires in the 140/70/17 size. I may not have them all but the ones I did find were Bridgstone, Michelin, and of course IRC. I was wondering if anyone has tried any of these tires on their 250r or perhaps other bikes and if so how they liked the wet/dry grip, performance, and handling of the tire.

I changed to Pirelli Sport Demon (stock size) at 18,000km. I also changed the front brake pad at this time.
The difference is un-describable.
Could go through bends 20% faster. Stop on a dime. They inspire lots and lots of confidence.
Probably the best mod for this bike.

No worries.
I'm just short of 30,000km so I've 12,000km on them and there's still no need to think about replacing them.
And I'm not one of the 'going above 8000rpm is bad for your bike' kinda riders.

It appears that the Bridgestone BT-003 sport radial is also available in 110/70 and 140/70, at
Bridgestone BT003
If tire lifespan is important, I doubt you'll get 10,000 miles out of those.

Anyone ever try Michelin Pilot Activs before?
Just curious. How long are they supposed to last?

You wont even get 1000 miles out off 003's
specialist track tyre only.
There are far more suitable Bridgestone options for road use.
