Replaced Chain Slider

This is what my chain slider looked like after 5 years and 17,000 miles. It was definitely worn down and the guide bar/rail was starting to crack apart on the leading edge where heat had embrittled the rubber.

Replacement was straightforward. It's a good idea to remove the chain guard / rear mudguard for better access.

Happiness is a clean, well-oiled, well-adjusted chain running on a new chain slider.

don'tpanic and ARV like this.
