What happens if the tires stay on concrete?

Nothing, really.

I've never done anything with the tires of my motorcycles for winter storage, and I've never had any issues. That's been about 12 motorcycles in about 20 years in an unheated Minnesota garage.

The only things that are critical for indoor storage is making sure the gas tank is full of stabilized gas, the carbs (if any) are drained, the engine oil is fresh, and the battery is on a Battery Tender (or equiv.).

.......but what if i store it in an underground garage and just start it up and ride around every week or so. In Toronto, there is not always so much snow anymore so I plan to take it out. Infrequently.
Do you folks think this would work - or am I in denial about winter? (Its my first with the bike)

the cold weather combined with the tires sitting in a static position for an extended period of time can cause cracking in the sidewall over time, especially if the tires loose pressure due to extreme cold.

I've read that some folks recommend over-inflating tires a bit before storage, if you are not one to periodically roll the cycle a bit to ensure that tires are not left in one position all winter.
