First Service

Hello,

I'm a proud first time bike owner and glad to say its a cbr250.
My bike requires its first run in service and I neither know what to tell nor demand the shop look at or service other that your regular oil/filter change.

any advice would be appreciated or should i just trust the shop mechanic knows what he's doing?

Well I am no expert by any means but since no 1 else is replying yet I can tell you what is required for the first 600 mile maintenance is listed in the owners manual. I would assume any dealer knows exactly what needs to be done

Askii, suggest you do a search on 'Outrageous 1st Service Quotes' -- the thread should answer any queries you may have on what's covered [and prices charged] for the 600 mile / 1,000 km service.

It tells you in your user manual what needs doing. Basically it's an oil and filter change, and a valve clearance check and adust if needed.

Don't be surprised if they check your valves and they are still in spec. Mine were, but they still had to take the bike apart to find that out.
