Picked up my small (very small) Eastsport backpack off ebay for $3 (honesty compels me to say that shipping was $9). Was looking for something to put a spare visor in and didn't like the visor fanny pack idea. Thanks for the idea Shmeeven!

You're welcome! After about 5K miles on my bag, day and night, mine is now a faded silvery grey. Still works well, of course.

I use my old bookbag from highschool (7 years ago) that i use for a tankbag now, but only keep things that i dont care about getting wet since it has holes and ghetto stitches using zipties.. But i went all out and bought a 17$ eastsport bag and to use as a backpack. I just tie the extra after pulling it tight and tie it around me so that it pulls weight off of shoulders.

Im out like $20 bucks and have gone to pensacola and back with no problems with being uncomfortable.

I've had good luck with the cheap MotoGear tailbag ($30 USD at Walmart).

The one in the picture below is 5 or 5.5 years old and I've used it for over 20K miles on two bikes. It is the "gray thing" under the black camelbak pack. UV in our desert environment tends to bleach everything. You do need to use the (included; lives in a zipped foldover at the front of the bag) yellow rain cover in hard rain.
