I had my gas tank painted. To do that I had to have the tank empty and baked in the sun for a couple days.
As you can see in the pic I put 3.528 US gallons with the fill up.
We still may have 3.4 US gallon usable as the book states.
BTW I walked my bike to the gas station 1/4 mile away!

The last bar on the fuel gague must flash with a lot of fuel left in it then. I filled yesterday with it flashing and only put just shy of 2.6 gallons in. I also fill up until it physically can not take any more, I rock the bike back and forth after it fills past the top and keep adding little bits until it's close to overflow to minimize stops.
why didnt you just take a gas container to the gas station in ur car. I didnt think it was good to walk the bike

Really a non workout as easy as it is to push. Forgot my MSF card and the gate guards let me push it to work a half mile. Wasn't even sweating by the time I got to the fire house. Wown't forget my card either, firemen are ruthless when it comes to tomfoolery. "Is that ... piece of .... already donezo? Should have bought a Harley Davison (Hardly Ableson)." Most of those guys were searching there wallets to make sure they had theirs if they were next to have their paperwork checked.
