She did apologise to me for emergency stopping and I also apologised for rear ending her lexus. The only damage was some red powder on a little area of her rear bumper and a little to non-visible little scratch and my damage was the tip of the front fender snapping off.
To be honest, she doesn't have any reason to apologize. I agree that she shouldn't brake like crazy in the middle of the road for no apparent reason (she may have agreed after the fact it wasn't needed, but like you choosing to hit the car instead of possible swerving she made a quick decision) but that doesn't mean she did anything wrong.
Dont get me wrong I am guilty of following to closely too, but I know if I rearend someone it will be my fault, now matter the reason for the car stopping in front of me.
I am glad that your ok, and there was little damage done.
