Always have the bike checked after a crash. You need to know what kind of structural has been done if any. It way be worse than you think.

To be honest, she doesn't have any reason to apologize. I agree that she shouldn't brake like crazy in the middle of the road for no apparent reason (she may have agreed after the fact it wasn't needed, but like you choosing to hit the car instead of possible swerving she made a quick decision) but that doesn't mean she did anything wrong.

Dont get me wrong I am guilty of following to closely too, but I know if I rearend someone it will be my fault, now matter the reason for the car stopping in front of me.

I am glad that your ok, and there was little damage done.

Cool. It used to be $1k last I checked, but that was years ago. Anyway, I always go to the coppers and go through the process just to have "my story" on record"...not that it happens often .
