Is there such a thing as "showing off gear"?? People will not notice your gear but your motorcycle. Not wearing gear would actually open you to look better, hence showing off. Think every single movie that shows a likable character on a motorcycle: no safety gear. The gear is for staying in one piece, period. More precisely it's for my wife and kid because they need me. It's called being responsible.

The jacket isnt perforated, and so is as waterproof as leather gets. But both the jacket and the pants have kevlar/lycra panels in them, and so water can get in. The gloves are perforated in parts. The boots are fully waterproof though.
