Gonna tackle Fullerton and TCR today. Took on the Big G last time and ended up getting stranded for 4 hours, so I'm gonna ramp it down a notch.

Well. I did some tinkering with some of the bolts to loosen them from the service departments extreme tightening methods and became a handy man by improvising my tools to turn them into other tools to get jobs done that the correct tools broke due to being chinese made. lol

Then I went for a ride.

Two days ago I washed it, and lubed my chain...
Yesterday, I traveled up the new 130 Tollway that now connects IH10, east of Seguin, Texas, to the 45 Tollway, and Highway 183, up in to Austin. Once I got into Austin, I rode all over the city, but that's not what I'm here to talk about...
The speed limit on the Tollway is 85mph, and there is little to no traffic! I got the chance to hold WOT most of the ride, topping out at 95mph on flat road and keeping it above 90 most of the ride. Even uphill on slight grades, I didn't dip below 91mph if I didn't want to. I may have been able to go faster, downhill, or with a tail wind, but I'll admit, I backed off the throttle on the downhills so I wouldn't go "too fast" and risk being pulled over. There aren't really any police or troopers out there, but I can't afford a ticket, if one decides to make a surprise appearance!

Of course, the bike performed flawlessly, and it was almost more comfortable around 90 than it usually is at 60. Perhaps in part to this also being my first ride wearing earplugs, which significantly reduced my "fatigue," compared to a normal long, fast ride.
Here are some visual aids, which I googled, and can't take any credit for.

Today I took it to Long Beach on Shoreland Drive, where the yearly Long Beach Grand Prix happens. And man you can tell these curves are meant for racing. What a pleasure doing these curves (no nsfw pun intended), stopping at a restaurant on the marina and doing these curves again, backwards this time (really, none intended).

Cleaned & lubed chain and checked tension. Checked fluid levels and tyre pressures. Washed the bike. Heading out early tomorrow for four hours of fun.

Checked the tire pressure and RODE TO WORK!!! (and back)
It looks like Sat. & Sun. evening will be good for a commute, also!
Too bad I can't be conscious during the height of the heat of the day...

This was the first time I rode with my newly relocated 12v outlet, up on the left side of the gas tank. MUCH easier to plug in the vest now. I can even do it before I mount the bike if I desire.
And I've given up on my Oxford grips. But I have already modified them so a simple return/exchange is probably out of the question.
Luckily my Widder vest has connections for wires to run down to electric gloves - which I don't really care for (bulky), but I have a pair out in the garage from my sidecaring days. (Year round commuting) So that is how I am going to keep my hands warm this year, apparently. ($19 for the wires, delivered)

Longed to ride it as it sat in the garage. New snow makes riding a bit too hazardous for me.

Same boat here, mine is in the shed for the winter :-(

With safe regards from the mostly frozen north.
