Loaded it on the ute with all my gear,
leaving now for Barbagallo track 350 miles away for tomorrows event.

This time I have my new rearset brackets, should be a major improvement.. sub 80 secs here I come!

I have a Qstars 10hz laptimer to set up too.

Was cleaning up the bike and decided to remove my LV slip-on to polish it. Put my stock "anchor" on just to mess around with it. Took it for a short ride and was really surprised how quiet the bike is when you have an actual silencer on it. Also a very noticeable difference in mid to high rpm revving. Let's just say I put the LV back on after my short test ride.

Worth mentioning is that the ECU won't be able to instantly adjust, or re-learn to the stock exhaust. It would take a fair amount of riding for the ECU to "re-learn" its settings for the more restrictive stock exhaust.

Took a trip across the Mississippi river into Arkansas and came back through downtown Memphis. Some pics from the Memphis riverfront.

That is a good point. Much like the gains were not instant, but took a little bit of hard riding.

I went for a ride this afternoon... high temp today was 60 F, with sunny skies. I did just over 100 miles carving up some twisty roads... not bad for December 1st!

Anyone else out there riding today?

went for a cruise around town and got pulled over by the cops lol. I turned a corner and completely fanged it through 2nd and 3rd in a 50km/hr zone where i thought i felt the rear tyre start to slip, i swear i would have been going 70+ but no speeding ticket. The rpm's were bussing quite high with my yoshi can fitted so not my best move yet. As soon as i came out of the corner i saw him pull out from the kerb and i thought crap, and so i changed lanes a couple of times and tried to get away from him but he eventually pulled me over for a chat.

The cop was really nice and everything, had a bit of a chat and gave me a breath test and said to me that the exhaust was not compliant and i tried saying "but it has a silencer on it" but he didn't take any action and he also told me to put my chain guard back on because i took it off because i was going to lube my chain.

He mentioned that if i don't want to attract attention to myself to sort the exhaust out and said to take it easy if i want to survive lol but overall i thought i would probably be getting a speeding ticket and a defect for the exhaust and the fender eliminator which he didn't notice even though the right rear turn signal was almost coming off and buzzing (thanks hotbodies)

An unusually warm day for December in Chicago allowed me to take a short ride to our local Dainese store. They were hosting a promotional event and I had the chance to meet AMA Super Sport racer Blake Young. I could have got an autographed poster, but I had no means of getting it home intact. Also listened to a pretty compelling presentation about riding gear. Went there to chat with some friends and, mainly, to enter a raffle to win a free track day. No luck with the raffle (sigh), but had a great time talking bikes, riding, and gear with like-minded individuals. A ride, any ride, at this time of year here is something to savor. And I did.
