I've had a few people compliment me on the bike and people always ask about it when I go into a store or something.

I had a guy on a Buell ask, "Why so small?!?" once. Does that count as admiration?

Oddly, my wife has the same bike as I do and people come up to her all the time complimenting her on the bike. Wonder how come that is. LOL

Went on my first group ride out in the Poconos (PA) a few weeks ago with my brothers & uncle. They all have big loud shiny Harley's, except for my one brother that has a 28 year old Honda 1100 (I forget which model but boy is it fast).

A few people approached us in a parking lot, some offered quick passing compliments on the big bikes but they stopped to ask me questions about my CBR for a few minutes. I went over the specs and they were really admiring it - and here I was a little self-conscious about having the smallest bike that could barely be heard over the loud monsters I was riding with, lol.

Perhaps it is because you have beautiful wife? And also because the black bike is sexier

At this point, I don't give a ******************** what others think about my bike. Love it? Good. Think it's weaksauce? Good for you, too. Just stay the ******************** away from it.

I've had a lot of positive comments from people, some of them didn't even end with the dreaded ".......for a 250".

While stopped at a light the other day in Leesburg, VA a middle-aged buy in a Porsche Carerra S said "Nice bike!" in a pretty admiring way. I felt like saying "Thanks, but I bet your oil changes cost more than my whole bike!".
Felt great though.

Well no one has ever approached me and verbally complimented my bike. Usually people stop and look at the bike, get very close to it but don't touch it. There was one instance imp-articular that I will never forget. I was stopped at a stop light waiting for the green light to turn. An oncoming vehicle was turning in the opposing lane. As he was entering the turn I noticed him looking at the bike, his girlfriend also looking. As he is driving past me his eyes dont turn away from me as the car is turning away from me. He continues to keep his eyes on me until his front wheel hit the curb. At that time he finally adjusts the wheel and drives away. Even after it happened I can see in my mirror that he is still looking at my bike in his mirror as he is driving away. That event is more of a compliment then words ever could be to me.
