I remember the first day when my bike came home.. it was a hot saturday afternoon and i just took it for a short spin before i came home and showed it to my folks..
When i reached home, there are these labourers who work at construction sites who bring their kids along since they have no permanent place to live. Those kids were out playing and they saw me enter the lane to my home and they said
"Look thats a racing Bike... Woahhh look at that thing.. "
And then i just smiled and revved it up a bit in neutral and they screamed like crazy and eventually were a bit scared since the bike was facing them from a few feet away.. Theyre still around here at the construction site. Everytime i come home they come running after me all throughout the lane

Case 2 This girl ive been having a crush on, i asked her if i could drop her home from university since we both live in the same city. She was too shy and she said "Maybe next time". I insisted but she didnt budge and i left. NExt day a mutual friend of ours who was standing next to her that day at the bus stop told me that she said "That's a macho lookin bike"
Atleast she likes my ride

And i always get the stares everytime i leave the university since all these people(students) gather at a common bus stop outside and 250's are the only big bikes in the campus.. with the exception of a Harley now which is a rare sight.

Haha Nithesh, that story reminds me of more or less every time I go pickup food at noon when I didn't bring any at work. It means I go past a school at the time kids (like 10-14 years old) are outside playing... they usually scream like crazy because they're so excited they saw a bike .

I've had some people say it's really nice. It got admired by a guy riding a Kawi 1000 (Can't remember the model, it was an inline 4 that was a similar style to a GS1000). Also I heard from a coworker who also goes to my college that he saw someone give it a triple-take while it was parked one day :-]

The most important comment came from my wife when she saw it in person - she loved it. Now she notices bikes on the road and always comments what she doesn't like about the other bikes.

Another key comment I heard was from the mechanic at the dealer when I dropped my tri color off for the 1st maintenance. He rode it on the lot...3 times! Then he got off with a big smile and said to take my time returning for it and that he would be happy to get some miles in on it lol. I made a show of checking my mileage before I left and he laughed.

Default Stories of people admiring your CBR250R

Recently during an all-day skills development course one of the instructors constantly keep telling me and the other riders just how superb the CBR is -- much to the dismay of the other riders on their mix of Yamy FZ, Honda VTR/Hornet, Suzuki GN and Kawa KLX 250's. Before we headed out for our group ride the admiring instructor jumped on my bike then proceed to do a few laps with him shouting repeatedly 'this machine is bloody brilliant'. After he asked me what the showroom price was I got the distinct impression he was going to look at adding a CBR to his stable. He did also seem to think our 250 would tick many of the boxes when compared to the new 500's.

Edit: not to be confused the other riders bike was an older Yamy FZR250

There is nothing better than seeing childern smile.
One of my favorite things to do is honk and wave at children when I'm on my bike. I can remember how cool I thought motorcycles were when I was a kid and what a charge it would have given me if somebody on a bike acknowledged that I exist. Probably pi**es off some parents, but oh well.

Rode passed a motorcycle cop the other day. He looked, and to my surprise, waved as I went by. He then raised his radar gun at the oncoming cars behind me

I am fortunate to teach at elementary schools, and I think just the daily presence of a bike is molding their young minds I hear plenty of oohs, ahhs, and whoaaaas, accompanied by parents' warning - "don't touch the bike!"
