I've had a grand total of one person come up to me to comment about my bike over the past 6 months but in the unlikely event that i actually did have a conversation I'd guess it would probably go one of 2 ways:
"Nice bike, the orange wheels are crazy"
"Thanks"
"What's 'Repsol'?"
"A Spanish oil company. They sponsor a professional race team."
"Do you race?"
"No, I just like the way the bike looks."
"Yeah it's pretty cool. Well have a good one."
"You too. See ya."
OR
"Nice bike. Who do you think you are, Casey Stoner?
"Well I actually prefer to see myself as Dani Pedrosa but... Seriously, I just like the colors."
"You look like a poser riding a 250 in Repsol colors, I would never do that."
"And there's nothing saying you ever have to."
"Well you look stupid."
"Thank you for your unsolicited opinion, it's been duly noted. Listen dude, I gotta go. Y'all have a great day."
You're the one who's doing the judging here so let me ask you, would you really go up to someone on a Repsol 250 and put them on the spot by initiating the kind of conversation you hypothesized?
