Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959,[3][4] as well as the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year.

Honda is the largest producer of engines for a reason, and their quality and dependability is why the company is number 1. As far as transmissions, I have no proof that their the best but trust me they are. For example, when the ninja 250 was compared to the CBR250 every article I read said the CBR transmission was better (probably just said smoother, but I would bet more dependable as well).

Kawasaki removed the steering damper on the latest 2013 ZX6R to provide "quicker steering" which I think symbolizes them as a company. Removing a steering damper to provide quicker steering is like remove the rear shock to reduce weight.

Meanwhile the CBR600RR has one of the most advanced electronically activated steering dampers available.

The new Kawi 636 is an awesome bike. Maybe the best 600 out now. But if I was going to get a new 600, it would be a CBR600rr. just because its a Honda and IMO they make the best bikes. So for my money, Honda wins.

The 2013 cbr600rr was at the bike show, it feels jus like the 12 model. Just a bit more aggressive riding position and I am saying a tiny bit. The dash looks the same, a little outdated to me. Only the headlights can I tell the difference it's a new model. I would just buy the outgoing model.
