You going post up a couple photos of that RZV for us Aufitt? That's not you're "run of the mill motorcycle" that you get to see every day...
BTW, I burned nearly 2 gallons of gas yesterday riding my XR on some nice single tracks up in the mountains for no purpose other than to have some fun... that doesn't make me a selfish, bad person does it?
Nope, I admire your "selfishness" lmao But, then again, I am buying a 600rr that will burn gas *cough cough* more than the ceebee. At least I am not pointing hypocritical fingers at others 'cause they appear to live differently than me. I admit, "my name is Debra and I am selfish"

Why should it...? Riding motorcycles is what motorcycle folk do. Less tends to be more when it comes to off road machines..... and this thread is about small motorcycles.

I have a diesel car, I use veg oil as fuel for cheaper travel. If I'm honest it is not so much about saving the planet but saving money. Fuel is so expensive here in the UK that diesels are more popular than ever. If you in the US think you're hard done to, just wait until you're paying $10 a gallon, You'll soon see big SUV's vanish
Americans would rather burn copius amounts of fuel while complaining about $1.00-$1,50 per litre.
Or they post up the savings of motorcycle vs a 6cyl or V8.
Try a Yaris/Jazz sized car or even a Corolla/Civic etc and you'll see the savings on a bike are not that great when you factor in servicing, riding gear, accidents, insurance, hospital fees etc.
Commuting on a bike is not all beer and skittles.

Aye; I had the pleasure of riding various VW Golf's with those BlueMotion TSI engines (and that automatic DSG-transmission is very good, even while I normally prefer just manual with clutch) and if you see how much performance they manage to press out of those 1.2 engines, you'd almost become disappointed with motorcycles.

I owned a Honda Fit (Jazz) and it gets 35mpg (best) if you drive 15,000 miles a year at 35mpg you will spend 1,412.40$ (at the current price of 3.20$/gallon in the south east US). If you drive the ceebee instead you will pay 660$ for the same amount of miles, which is a savings of 752.40$ a year.
Which is not even taking into account the fact that the ceebee cost 4,000$ compared to a 20,000$ or more car. 16,000 dollars worth of gas, and beer and skittles.

well put,i'm the same mind frame.
thats why i'm not grid tie with my 6500watt solar system.
I have a Fit (38 mpgUS), and an Insight (57 mpgUS) and the CBR250R (93 mpgUS). I need to get my heated gear sorted out. 17F this morning kept me off the bike but the roads were perfectly clear.
I have a 12 Hyundai Accent. As some of you know Hyundai got caught with misleading MPG stickers on the cars. I'm averaging 27/28 overall. The car drives and feels terrific in every way minus the bad MPG. I will be getting some money soon as Hyundai is giving yearly debit cards loaded to how many miles you put on the car per year. I think its around 100 bucks for 15k miles per year kind of numbers.
I do get 38 to 40 on long freeway runs staying on the slow lane at posted freeway limit numbers.
If I had to do it again, I probably would get the 12 Fit. Seems like a more fun ride.
