True..if they could do a 400RR for around $9500..i think it would sell. But it would have to have a lot of performance and then we would be right back to profit loss or profit gain. That post also states that guy said that 2013 may be the last year for the R6..Yamaha..better get going on an R300.

So why not make a 400RR? Lower cost, same performance..just less cc's. It doesn't surprise me if this is true, look at the new models Honda is putting..low cost budget bikes for reasonable prices. However, that can become a bad thing if they start scrimping on quality just to keep them cheap. There was a small touch on this in the last Sport Rider issue, they said that with low interest rates, people were spending the extra money and getting 1000's. 600's were already dangerously pushing the high prices and without updates to the bike, they pushed people away. Honda may very well be headed in a new budget friendly direction..just hope they don't become another Hyosung.

There is a dealer by me that has..or maybe still has, they did about two weeks ago..a 600RR for $9899..not too bad. The dealer I got my 250 at has one for $10,299.00
