I am related to the GM at our local Powerhouse dealer. When I enquired about the new releases he said they have no more info than the public does but, he is expecting a new 600rr release. He wants to get his wife one as her present 600 is getting close to a major servicing i.e repacking the bearings etc.
Guess we have no more to go on than rumors, perhaps in play to help the 2012's fly off the floor to make room for the 2013's. I hope so cause I am seriously intersted in the 600rra, 2011 model to save $$. Current one I am looking at has only 1600km's. I don't want to feel pressured to purchase before I am ready

I got my info from the forum link I provided in my first post but that guy could prove to be a troll. I just find it weird that we've ALWAYS got a spy shot or some kind of verifiable information on a new model year bike. We've got nada on the cbr600rr besides gossip.
Just curious, how much is a major servicing on a cbr600rr? Is it that expensive that it warrants buying a new bike? That seems like a ridiculous reason unless that major servicing is in the thousands.

The bike is an '07 or 08. Also said the servicing is about 2,000 including labour. I think he feels that this wld be a good time to trade up. It's not a necessity.

dang, how many miles on her bike? Must be at the 16k mark for the valve adjustment. If you get the service manual, free online download, you can do most of everything except I wouldn't do the valve adjustment.
Actually, the 2007/2008 is considered the best model year cbr600rr because from 2009 and up they limited the top end.
Think she has 18,000k on it. I am sure they can save on the servicing fees as he is the GM of Powerhouse. Apparently it is a big job. His wife loves her bike. Custom plastics, exhaust, new suspension cause she's a light weight, adjustable levers. Beautiful bike and is a "one of" around these parts. Her bike has been shown at the yearly bike show due to it's uniqeness. She's also quite comfortable on it as she's been riding it four years now.
Next week I am going shopping for my new cbr600rr. At least seriously looking and hope to strike a deal. I will most likely sell my 250 privately as I will get more for it.
PS, where do you hail from Rocky?

I think he's just hanging out in his house, dreaming up even more ridiculous videos for youtube... one of his latest is something called Unboxing shorty levers. Really, I guess his loyal viewers (all three of them) enjoy watching him open a cardboard box! A while back he did a video titled Unboxing & review of Sidi boots... aside from the ridiculous "unboxing"(you would think that he had found the Holy Grail), he did a review on a pair of boots that he hadn't even worn yet! I'm running out of popcorn...
I'm starting to think he just likes to say arrr arrr.
