Going to put my bike up real soon. Riding in snow and ice just isn't worth it.

I cannot fathom riding a roadbike in temps under about 10-15 degrees let alone when its cold enough to snow.

Sometimes, you just need inexpensive transportation.

I never ride if there is any chance of snow or ice on the road. Wet snow stuck to your face shield isn't any fun either. I also do not "put my bike away". There are many days I can still ride if the roads are at least wet. Even in January. Salt doesn't scare me. This is a $4300 commuter bike. And I spray every inch of it's metal down with CorrsionX once a year.

I was born and raised in Minnesota... snowmobiles are a good way to get around in the upper mid-west in winter. Motorcycles?... not so much.
