I tour on my CBR250r and LOVE IT !!! Did over 7000 kms this year and mainly on trips !! I do have the usual complaints that everyone does...the seat. It's ok...but gets a little uncomfortable after a few hours !! BUT a person can upgrade that !!! The 500's should be better for traveling....abit bigger and a few more hp !!!

Why do you think that won't be that good ???

If it was me............ keep the CBR250r AND get the 500 (which ever one you like) ......she can ride the little bike if you wish and you have BOTH bikes for when ever you want them !!

I have a "Ventrua" luggage system on mine and it works GREAT !!!! Especially for touring. A person can pack lots into it !! And easy on and off at the end of the day when you just want to rest !!!

Yes, but he said he doesn't, and there's not enough difference in ergos between the 250 and 500 to make it worth his while to try one if he's into touring.
