Default Windshield issues

I ride 90% highway to work, tucked behind the windshield and I get horrible glare from instrument panel (night riding at least one way, some of the time both ways) and the "wings" on the shield block my mirror.
Thinking about cutting the windshield down below my view range...
Any comment, suggestions or advise?

Thank you!

PS. I have already removed the windshield and the the vision is GREAT. Wind and noise are livable.

Maybe you're laying too much? If you're saying you're fine without even using the windscreen do you really need to completely hind behind it? I, like you, do mostly highway and even at 90 on it I don't need to go that low.

Go with a matte black windshield (Plastidip)

No more glare.

The lower I go, the greater the MPG
If I paint, I cannot see through it...

Did a little research and apparently, red light doesn't reflect, so I may either change bulbs on instrument panel or cover with red tint.
I will have to test.

Any other input?

Thanks
