Guys, I was just talking to my buddies and it seems there are a few gangs here in the USA whose current initiation test is to find a motorcyclist, run him off the road with a car/truck, and then confirm he's dead (i.e. shoot, stab or run him over) before leaving the scene. Can anyone confirm this? I've heard of this once before but... this sounds crazy!

i've heard of ones involving them in cars with no lights on at night and the first person to flash them to kindly let them know their lights are out is to be run off the road and killed. I also just read online about them rear ending cars at stop signs and the first to get out to look at the damage is shot and killed. These may be urban legends but i still think things like this would have happened at some point in time in the US. Crazy stuff!

There are at least a dozen other posts on this same subject on other websites, although it may have been related to one or two incidents. I'm hoping it was squashed quickly.
It's bad enough when they don't see us. It would be worse if they TRIED to hit us!

It does strike me as a bit of an urban legend, but I've seen stranger things here in Dallas, TX. Stuff like this is one of the reasons why I went and got my CHL last month. Granted that if they're going to roll up behind me and shoot me it won't do much good, but otherwise I have a reasonable chance to do something to defend myself. Especially since I go to work at 2AM in the morning and there are a lot of crazy people out at that time.
I just don't get the point behind something like this.
