We spent several thousand dollars developing the Honda, which is right in line with what some Ninja 250 racers choose to spend on their bikes. None of the work we did or had performed was above or beyond what’s normal in club racing. I’m pretty sure we’ve gone over this point before, but this series wasn’t meant to prove that the Honda is better than the Ninja, or even that the Honda is a good choice for 250 racing. (continued)

We simply set out to see if it was possible to make the CBR250R competitive. Yes, the Ninja will still smoke the CBR on faster courses, but maybe someone watching this video has a local track that’s especially tight? Chuckwalla has its own series, so the CBR is an option for that track’s series. And yes, this project probably isn’t feasible for your average rider looking to go racing on the cheap. We did it so they wouldn’t have to!
