Default Inspiration If ever I needed it

Just been reading this thread on ADVrider

Have Bed On CBR250R - Will Travel! - ADVrider

This has really made up my mind to buy this bike. This kind of trip would be a dream come true for me.

Anyone here done anything similar?

David.

I have read that before I bought my bike a while ago, this was one of the deciding factors for me. Knowing that I could commute and travel on the same bike is a great feeling.

That looks like a wonderful experience. There's a guy named AtlasRider on youtube that rode all the way to the tip of South America and back. I hope when I graduate school I can afford to quit my job and just travel on my bike for a few months.

Personally, I would prefer to do a trip like this on a dual-sport or a sport-touring bike, a lot more comfortable sitting position, and a bigger engine to handle highways speeds a bit better.

If there is a will, there is a way. I remember reading about one guy riding his CBR250R up to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Due to the road condition and cross wind, he was only able to do 45-50 mph
