Cool. I was wondering how you got one so soon. I haven't seen one here yet. I haven't even sen any 2013 CBR250's yet. I went and sat on a Ninja 300 and have been thinking about it as my next bike. I would prefer a Honda, but the ninja is lighter than the CBR500 and cheaper with just enough horsepower for me. Don't know yet what I will do.

Havent been on here in a while. So you bought a CBR500. How do you like it? How much more power does it have and do you mind the extra weight?

Thanks on the signature. I had occasion to ride to a motorcycle show about 7 miles away in Long Beach, CA a couple of weeks ago. As I got closer, sportsbikes would appear in my mirror, catch me then drop me at the light change (sometimes not even at the light change). I know I'm riding a 250cc bike and I won't be baited into a drag race. If I could tell them to their faces I'd say, "So you're riding a [insert your super sportsbike name here], eh? Good for you!" . . and I mean it with all sincerity.

Glad to hear your doing well. Are you going for a 2013 600rr or the previous model? Thanks for the nice comment and I would say the same for you. You have always provided thoughtful feedback and I enjoy you postings. Hope to chat with you on more topics in the future. Stay warm up there.

Been busy so didn't get to head over to Kata a few weeks ago. I just took a couple of hours out of marking and headed off on the treadly to watch the game relatively nearby.

I did get over to Kata last Saturday to catch the return match, and got these places that you might like to look at.

BEACHBREEZE GUESTHOUSE KATA PHUKET THAILAND AND THE SHIP INN

: Southern Fried Rice ::: Budget Guesthouse & Restaurant :

They would probably be a little cheaper than Angus O'Toole's, but still offer OK digs. If your budget extends to a 1-200 baht a night more, O'Toole's would be a shade more up market.

Angus O'Tool's - Irish Pub, Restaurant, Guesthouse, Karon & Kata Beach, Phuket

They had another place near Kata, where I used to pop in for a beer after surfing. It was quite small so I guess business was too seasonal and they closed it.

Hey Sexy - You didn't seem too enthused with the idea of exchanging email......maybe a bad idea? I can understand, you don't know me from Adam and I'm sure you don't need another grandpa!! Hope your getting some riding in before the weather changes. Take care.

Hey good looking!! Just dropped by to see how things are going and I'm happy to see your still dropping your pearls of wisdom. We had a good summer here and I managed to get lots of riding in although no long trips. Did you get the trip in you were planning a while back? I'm still waiting to see your face on "faces to names". All the best to you and Cloe.

The guys who own Angus O'Toole's, the Irish pub in Karon, are alright, and I reckon their lodgings should be ok too. I don't see as much of them as perhaps I should, but do drop by occasionally.

I think I know the Italian restaurant but cannot recall the name, and have never dropped in. There are several guest houses in the area that would be OK. Businesses there come and go.

Also consider near Kata Night Plaza, 150 metres to Kata Yai Beach, and 5-600 metres to the south end of Karon. It's guest houses are a better prospect now than a couple of years ago when it was surrounded by girlie bars. They have moved and it is quite genteel now. I'll probably be over that way to watch the All Blacks play the Springboks (rugby) at a sport's bar this weekend, so will get a few names.

Outside the Dec - Feb peak you should get rates of well under 1,000 baht a night, with a decent long stay discount. Now, in the depth of the low season 5-600 baht is common, and I have seen lower.

I def think you rock for breaking the typical girl mode. Showing the boys that girls can do it too. " Hope that came out right "

Now I save the best for last LOL

My wee little poem for you :)

"My poem about live to ride , She lives to ride, she rides to live. I know it's five somewhere and she out there riding with a smile every mile ripping up the streets. I don't know if she got beats in her helmet but she beats most for being cool "

My little wee poem about you. Now I got to get that printed and in a frame for your xmas gift :)
