I was reading a post about chain lube and saw you complain about your dealer. I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I have had the exact opposite experience at my Honda dealer, Des Plaines Honda in Des Plaines, IL (just northwest of Chicago).
It would obviously be too far to go for parts or service, but if you're ever looking to purchase another bike, it might be worth the trip from (I believe) St. Louis. They treated me fairly and I got a very good deal on two CBRs, one for me and one for my wife. I know they will deliver bikes almost any place, but I don't know the details about that since I live only a few miles from there.
I'm a new rider, so I don't have much other advice. It's just a shame that you had to deal with your dealer.
