The instal was as I said. You will need a way to lift the rear without damaging the bike. My jack has a large padded foot that fit on the exhaust pipe. The sidestand is supporting the bike while the jack stabilizes it. Also, some of the bolts were put on by a 400 pound gorilla. You may need a long bar to get them loose. The bolt on the muffler clamp broke when I tried to loosen it. It is a hardware store bolt so I replaced it with a better one. If you have any question about the install you can text me anytime. Sometimes it takes me a while to respond because of my job. 925 400 7376
My name is Lisa, and I was reading your posts regarding the Soupy's lowering kit for the 250. I am considering the same thing, as I really need the bit of confidence that flat-footing my bike will allow. Was the install as easy as you describe? My boyfriend can probably do it, but we wondered how complicated it was.
