So is the catalytic converter gone when you replace the stock pipe or does this setup have one built in?

Cat is gone, but why would someone want one anyways?

Changing the pipe equals polluting the air unless you put a cat on it. If you are changing for looks and sound, why pollute the air if you don't gain a bunch of performance?

Not a chance. You drive a modified diesel truck that belches black clouds?

Actually my job involves possible relo to SoCal. I won't be able to register it without a catalytic converter.

Sucks for you. the only pipe with a cat is the stocker. And for this bike it's like trying to breathe through a straw.

Among others, one of the reasons I was drawn to the Arrow pipe I have is that a cat insert is available. I don't want to, but if I need it I can get one.

I guess we should return the hijacked thread to its rightful owner.

Just put the stock on to register, and then switch back. No way do you want a cat..
