Default Proper girls are not seen with anyone between their thighs in public

The correct way for young women to ride pillion. Public display of women with their legs wrapped around anyone in public is unseemly.

These are some of the photos I took this morning, to illustrate how women should ride pillion.

There was a police officer just a few meters away. His orders were to operate the traffic lights. Later in the day he might join a gang of a dozen or so, with orders to set up a checkpoint and ticket riders not wearing a helmet, or not carrying a licence. For a month or so they also ticketed pillions without a helmet, but that was a year or two back.

Last time pops and my brother were in Bangkok, my brother turned the wrong way down a street, and despite pops yelling at him they were going the wrong way, my brother said it'll be ok, we'll just turn up here.

Nope. Police. Ticket. Was only a couple hundred baht, but still... I don't like to get anywhere near LEO's radar when I travel abroad.

Another thread where Michael tries to shove his philosophy down our throats. Awesome....

But I guess they're all riding bicycles so there's no danger anyways.

Travel the world sometime. It's interesting to absorb foreign cultures... (which are not the same as philosophies, per se)
