I don't really care for either candidate much, but I would rather Obama be reelected than Romney. There's something about him I just don't like. He makes me think he's a thief, which he's doing a pretty good job of making a lot of people think. *sigh* Why must you ask such questions this early in the morning Redline?? lol

P.S. I hate how religiously influenced our government still is.

That's all seriously interesting.

Please go more in depth.

I'm really undecided but looking for reasons, for or against.

(PS, it's 9pm here on a Sunday night, and I'm currently washing down the BBQ Ribs with a few cold ones. Unfortunately there's no Bud or Miller here so I have to drink real beer)

I'm from Massachusetts. We were unfortunate enough to have Mitt Romney as our Governor for a while. He did a horrible job. He promised not to raise taxes and instead raised every fee from every state agency. Car registrations and license fees went way up, public transportation cost more and he even tried to add fees to services for the disabled and handicapped. The fees he raised were far more than any taxes that would have been raised and it hurt the most vulnerable people in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts more than anyone else.
Most of the time when he wasn't busy raising fees he was an absentee Governor, chasing his ambitions outside of Massachusetts when he should have been governing. He was so disliked by his staff that there were stories that on the day he left office his own personal State Police drivers and bodyguards refused to shake his hand. Our state let out a huge sigh of relief when he finally left and nobody was sorry to see him go.
Most of Barack Obama's failures in his first term can be traced back to the Republican's stance of refusing to work with him and a single-minded determination to make him a one-term president. Many programs and proposals that could help average Americans have been shot down by Republicans refusing to compromise. They think by doing this they can insure an unproductive term and the public will be disappointed and thus vote Republican in the upcoming election. Instead the American people are becoming fed up with the constant GOP stonewalling and refusal to pass important bills that would positively effect their lives. The Republican plan is backfiring. I deal with the public every day and I know that the perception of Republicans right now is not very good. I have yet to meet anyone who is not disgusted with Republicans doing their best to insure continued tax breaks for millionaires while the middle class continues to suffer.

It would have to be a cold day in hell, before I'd vote for Romney. To continue with that metaphor, I also think that Mr. Romney has about a snowball's chance in hell of winning in November against Obama. A lot of voters are having a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea of a Morman in the white house, especially evangelical southern conservatives. They will just stay home on election day, as will a lot of other republicans. He's not well liked in his own party, and they just don't trust him. Flip... Flop... Hard core GOP'ers don't care too much for the flip flop.

That said, if Mitt were running against Newt G. for President of the Moon... well that would be a tough call, as they are both fully qualified for that job.

Romney all the way!
I turned against Obama when he called a major press conference for a tax against private jets. He tried to make it seem like a significant amount of funds was being generated when in reality it was a fraction of a percent.
There are also comercials going around where Obama is saying he saved jobs by stopping the import of tires from China being sold at below cost... While he did stop it China responded by putting tarrifs on American made chicken. He left this out of the commercial... Do you think China(population 1.3 billion) spends more money on poultry or America spends more money on tires? It was definantly a loss for America
Personaly I beleive Obama is very good at manipulating the uneducated voter and I think he does so by telling them they are being cheated out of what they deserve and he will bring it to them while this is not true... Therefore i will be punching the hole next to mr. Romney's name this year
