What happens with the larger displacement, then? The stock valve size can breathe well enough to support it and only requires rejetting the carburetor? Would the engine not get choked off on the top end? I'd think, logically, the lower the RPM, the more increase there would be if that's the case, with intake/exhaust becoming the limiting factor up top.
The larger displacement will increase your low and mid range with a bit added to the top. Most big bores ive seen in the MX world to tend to fall flat on the top but most people want the lower grunt anyways. Stock valves will have no problem keeping up to the larger bore. Its not untill you dramatically increase bore/stroke or add boost you would look into larger/more valves. Yes a rejet is required, you need to richen up the airfuel mix. Most kits comes with or will tell you what jet to set up too and dont be cheap and try to drill out the jets lol. The stock exhaust will be fine with the kit, obviously the aftermarket can will be a touch better but is not needed.

Went to the scooter dealer and hung out for bit to talk shop. Their advice: "If you do the pipe; do the head. If you do the head; do the pipe. If you're not doing one of the 2; don't do the other, just do the BBK by itself."

The head would be the last thing to add. Start with the big bore kit and see if you need the extra noise of the pipe. Have you heard the pipe in action? It might not be terribly loud due to the small displacement. I drilled my stock pipe on the PCX and it only starts to get loud at high throttle openings.

The Blur is too tall for her liking. I actually like the Blur a lot. It's kind of like Genuine's equivalent of the Honda PCX, but with a little bigger engine.

Oh no, no no. The Buddy 125 is from The Genuine Scooter Company here in the states (though technically the Buddy is actually the PGO BuBu from Taiwan, but they build good scooters). I've heard nothing but horror stories about the Chinese knock-off bikes. The Genuine/Vespa dealer here won't even work on them.
