Default Where are you going on holiday this year?

We decided that after going to Turkey for the last 5 years, we'd try something different, so I've just booked 10 days here Apartamentos Puerto Rico, Apartamentos Gran Canaria Puerto Rico | Marina Bayview | Ipanema Park in July. Where's everyone else going this year?

Wow. That looks beautiful!
Unfortunately for me, my holidays are over. Back to working 55 hours a week.
I did find time to go skiing though. Also, bought myself a new Triumph yesterday.
Thought you might appreciate hearing that.

Wow, that sounds really interesting. I'd love to visit those countries, but having a family, and only being able to afford one holiday a year for all of us, we stick to a 10 day package.

Hey Wynne, we also had good memories of Turkey when we went to Bodrum back in 2004 -- amazing local history. About 10 years earlier and before I met Mrs W I went to Gran Canaria, and although I didn't stay there I remember Puerto Rico being stunning so I'm sure you'll have a great time. Today, my wife and I are leaving the kids with my MIL here in New Zealand as we head back to the UK for my mum's funeral next Thursday -- so definitely not a holiday but 30+ hours travel time all the same. As for family holidays, the last few years we've gone to the Hilton in Fiji (Denarau) because the place is really well set up for kids. My avatar picture was taken by the poolside during our last visit there. Not sure if we'll do the same this year though as I'm trying to encourage my better half to agree to Rarotonga.

We stayed in Gumbet the first year we went to Turkey, and visited Bodrum for the day. Very nice. We went round the castle, and really enjoyed it. This will be my first time in Gran Canaria, I'm really looking forward to it.
