As much as the gearhead id wants a v-twin [
would really prefer an inline 6 – id.], the realistic hope should be for a single. I'm sure Honda will be able to apply all of the tricks they use for the 250 on a larger thumper. And it would be nice to have the simplicity of a single spark plug, injector, valvetrain, etc.
Another parallel twin in this segment would be light beer.
